Building and maintaining strong bones

Osteoporosis is a condition that occurs in older ages, but depends on the nutritional management that has been done at younger ages. Important elements for building and maintaining the skeletal system are the minerals, calcium and boron.

Especially boron is a vital mineral for bone health and osteoporosis, since both impairs the bone decomposition and also helps in the absorption of calcium by the body. Raisin is a rich vegetable source of calcium (10mg calcium in 100g of black corinthian raisins) and most importantly contains boron at a concentration of 2,5 mg/100 g, one of the highest content in food!
