Just days until Christmas

We entered the final straight for the days of Christmas…
And who of us does not have read the novel by Charles Dickens «A Christmas Carol that is relevant to the spirit of the season?

Through the plot of the above book, black corinthian raisins (currants) are deified, as a key component of the festive table.
Currants are taken as the symbol of happiness and adequacy of the London bourgeois family in Victorian England, ie the period when Dickens wrote the book (1843).
